Young Dolph’s Accused Killer Says He Wants Non-Memphis Jury Due To Unfairness In Trial

MEMPHIS – Rapper Young Dolph’s accused killer is seeking a jury from out of Memphis, according to a report.

Justin Johnson’s defense claims their client can’t get a fair trial due to the publicity surrounding the case and outrage over the beloved rapper’s killing, according to KeyT.

Johnson’s attorney has asked a judge to bring in a jury from outside of Shelby County for the trial of Johnson and Cornelius Smith Jr., KeyT reports.

Both men were charged with first-degree murder in Dolph’s death.

Theyhave pleaded not guilty.

Young Dolph was inside of a cookie shop when he was ambushed and shot to death in 2021.
