ATLANTA- Rapper Young Thug’s attorney has requested bond again for the rapper in a recently filed motion, saying the rapper is “languishing in the county Jail” without it.
In the motion filed on April 24, the rapper’s attorney, Brian Steel, says the rapper has been unable to stay healthy due to his conditions in the jail, according to 11Alive.
Steel says Thugga has limited healthy food options and has to rely on unhealthy foods like with “zero health benefits” like chips and chocolate, reports the news outlet.
The rapper has had little access to sunlight and fresh air since May 2022 and has been “sleep deprived” only receiving 4-5 hours of sleep a day during the week, the motion states, according to 11ALIVE.
The rapper whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, was arrested last May and indicted on several charges along with 28 other men. He’s accused of allegedly leading a street criminal gang named after his record label “Young Slime Life.”
Thugga is facing a gang activity charge from 2018 and a 2013 charge of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations, or RICO Act.
