Young Thug’s Lyrics To Be Used Against Him In Court; Here Are The Songs Prosecutors Will Use

ATLANTA- Prosecutors will be using rapper Young Thug’s lyrics against him in his racketeering case.

The 56-count indictment of YSL affiliates includes several of Young Thug’s lyrics that date from 2016 to 2021 which will be used as evidence against him, reports ABC News.

The tracks that prosecutors will use as evidence in the case are “Take It To Trial”, “Anybody” and “Ski” featuring Gunna and “Slatty”.

Prosecutors stand by their decision to use the rapper’s songs as evidence, stating Thugga’s lyrics are “preserving, protecting and enhancing the reputation, power, and territory of the enterprise YSL.”

One verse cited in the indictment is in Thug’s “Slatty” verse where he raps “I killed his man in front of his momma, like f**k lil bruh, sister and his cousin/I shoot out/Kill ’em, not leaving a trace”, according to the news station.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said YSL’s lyrics and actions make them liable for “in excess of 50 murders” due to gun violence that dates back to 2015.

Thug, Gunna and 26 others were named in a 56-count indictment, charging them with the (RICO) act and other charges.
