4 Florida Teens Killed After Crashing Stolen Car In Police Chase

FLORIDA – Four teenagers were killed in a high-speed chase with a police car after their car spun out of control, flipped over and ended up on a utility pole.

The deadly pursuit began after police chased after the Honda CRV, which was reported stolen on April 20, began speeding at 111 mph, according to reports.

Police said the car did pull over to the shoulder of the road, but before they could come to a complete stop, “they accelerated again” and that’s when the chase began.

It took over 90 minutes for first responders to remove the passengers from the vehicle, as it was “wrapped around a concrete utility pole.”

Two of the teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene and the other two were pronounced dead at a hospital.

Two of the teens have been identified as Newberry High School students Jabril Cheevers and Lawrence McClendon Jr., a sophomore defensive back for the football team.
