MINNEAPOLIS- 4 officer’s have been fired in connection to the death of George Floyd.
Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced on Tuesday that all four officer’s involved in Floyd’s death are now “former employee’s.”
Cellphone footage from Darnia Frazier from Monday shows an officer by the name of Derick Chauvin, with his knee on Floyd’s neck, as he begged to stop because he couldn’t breathe and was in extreme pain.
Officer Chauvin ignored Floyd, who WASN’T resisting arrest, and in fact, was handcuffed.
After about 2 minutes of Chauvin having his knee crushing Floyd’s neck and throat, you can see him go unresponsive as onlookers are screaming at the officer’s.
According to a police statement, they received a call about a “forgery in process”, and they’re now saying that Floyd was “resisting arrest” when the video clearly shows him helpless with his face to the concrete, moaning and begging for his life as both officer’s showed nothing but disregard.
