Thousands protest demanding justice for George Floyd

MINNEAPOLIS- Thousands of protesters gathered around a Minneapolis police precinct on Tuesday demanding justice for George Floyd, who was killed by a police officer, which was caught on cellphone footage.

Many are in outrage despite the 4 officer’s involved being fired.

Protester’s began to to walk from Chicago Ave, where Floyd died, and ended up in front of the 3rd Precinct where officer’ used tear gas and flash grenades.

George Floyd died hours after a police officer held him down with his knee on his neck for over two minutes. The excessive force that was used on Floyd was recorded by a woman. He was handcuffed was clearly incapable of resisting arrest.

He can be seen repeatably telling the officer that he couldn’t breathe, but the officer showed disregard.

Protester’s were seen on video throwing bricks at police cars as they drove off.

Celebrities are also speaking out, like Chance The Rapper, who attended a rally.

Many, including myself, are hoping that justice is served, but with a system that’s made to fail, it’s a question. The FBI is now taking over the case..
