LOS ANGELES- A judge approved Kanye West’ request to legally change his name to Ye, with no middle or last name.
Kanye Omari West was the rapper’s former name.
The petition was filed on Aug. 24 and cited “personal reasons.”
“There being no objections, the petition for change of name is granted,’ Judge Michelle Williams Court said in court documents, according to AP.
The rapper and designer has been calling himself Ye for years.
