Missing mother’s body found; ex-boyfriend is charged

NORTH CAROLINA-  A missing mother’s body was discovered and now her ex-boyfriend has been arrested in connection to her death.

LaPorscha Baldwin, 30, was reported missing in North Carolina by her family on Oct. 10, police say.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department opened a homicide investigation on Oct. 13. The following day, Baldwin’s body was found in Fairfield County, South Carolina.

Charles Combs, 35, who is Baldwin’s ex-boyfriend, was arrested on Saturday and held on first-degree murder warrants, police said, according to WCNC.

In 2004, Combs was convicted of the second-degree murder of another girlfriend WCNC reported.

Baldwin was supposed to show up at her Amazon job on Oct. 10, and meet up with Combs afterwards to pick up her belongings, but she never made it to work.

Her car was discovered Oct. 11, with it’s tires slashed, blood on the steering wheel, woman’s clothing and duct tape.
