Body Found In Pond May Be Missing 1-Year-Old Girl, Mother Found Dead
ILLINOIS- A body found in a pond is believed to be that of missing 1-year-old girl is missing after her mother was found dead in her home, according to CBS.
The body of a black female under the age of 5 was found there is real known age, or cause of death, police told CBS.
Jaclyn “Angel” Dobbs disappeared from her home she shared with her mother, Ja’nya Murphy, on Nov. 9 and hasn’t been seen since.
Police say they received a missing persons report on Nov. 9 after Murphy didn’t show up to work and family members were unable to get in contact with her.
Murphy was found dead inside of her home, after police gained access by using her balcony.
Murphy was strangled and the toddler was taken in a maroon 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan, according to CBS 2 Chicago.
Police say a person of interest, who they say had a relationship with Murphy, was found with the Dodge Grand Caravan in Missouri on Nov. 10 but “the location of Angel Dobbs remains unknown”.
The unidentified person of interest had seen Murphy on Nov. 8, a day before she was murdered and is currently being questioned.
