Kodak Black’s Attorney Wants Drug Case Dismissed, Says “Oxy” Pills Were Tylenol

FLORIDA – Rapper Kodak Black’s lawyer wants his drug possession case dismissed, saying the rapper’s pills that police claimed were Oxycodone, were actually Tylenol.

The South Florida rapper was arrested in Ft. Lauderdale in July 2022, and was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of trafficking oxycodone, but according to his lawyer, a test showed that the pills were Tylenol, according to a motion filed to have the case dismissed, TMZ reports.

Kodak’s attorney Bradford Cohen is accusing the Broward Sheriff’s Office of a cover-up that allegedly involves FBI Special Agent James Mitchell, who Cohen claims is biased against Kodak, per the outlet.

He’s also claiming prosecutors attempted to withhold body cam video of an officer who said he’s “always ready” as his camera was focused on his firearm while recording Kodak during his arrest.

The motion says the pills that were tested were destroyed, and authorities never produced a report, even though the results showed that they were over-the-counter pain medications and because of that he wants the case dismissed.
