LL Cool J to launch his own channel on SiriusXM for old school Hip Hop

Rapper LL Cool J told the Associated Press that he’ll be launching his own channel on SiriusXM called “LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells”, which comes from his hit song.

LL Cool J says he made the channel for older rap artist who are not getting enough attention when it comes to their music. He wants to give a platform for rappers from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s to promote their old songs, as well as their new ones, along with interviews.

He plans on playing music from artist like Public Enemy, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Outkast. He even plans to play music from rappers that he’s had beef with such as Canibus and Kool Mo Dee. He told the Associated Press:

“I’m going to play even those records where they talk about me,” he said. “I’m not going to deny none of the fans of my rivals’ music. This is not about stroking LL Cool J’s ego. It’s about the hip-hop culture. We’re going to dig into the crates for this.”

This will air on channel 43 on SiruisXM. He already had a Live broadcast this past Wed with Dj Z-Trip at an invite only roller skating event in Los Angeles to promote the new channel.
