Man arrested for the murder of Bronx woman found in trash

BRONX, NYC- A man has been arrested for the murder of a woman whose body was found in a trash can outside of a Bronx building.

The NYPD announced on Wednesday that Khphruan Campbell, 39, has been charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter in the first degree and concealment of a human corpse.

38-year-old Becky Crown’s body was found naked, head first in a trash can on April 20th in the Bronx.

Investigators had surveillance footage which showed a man pushing Crown’s body inside of a shopping cart as he walked through an alley way.

Crown’s cause of death of compression to her chest and neck, but it’s not known where she was killed.
