Mother accused of murder after throwing her newborn baby on neighbors deck

A Colorado woman has been charged with murder after she threw her newborn baby over her neighbors fence in January. According to KDVR on January 2nd, Jeanette Barich went out to the back of her house to use her hot tub when she noticed her dog smelling a dead baby, she took the baby inside her home and immediately called 911. Detectives found a bloody curtain in the trash belonging to the residence where Camille Wasinger-Konrad was renting a room. Camille’s landlord told detectives that she had just cleaned a large amount of  blood in her bathroom. When detectives spoke to Camille Wasinger, she admitted to them that she did not know she was pregnant until she went into labor. She continued to tell detectives that she placed her hand over the newborn’s mouth, so that nobody would hear the baby crying, took the baby outside where she sat for several minutes, and continued to place her hand over the baby’s mouth, until she finally tossed the baby over her neighbors 9 foot fence. She was also recorded on police cameras saying, “I just got rid of it”. Detectives interviewed a woman from her job who said that Camille in fact was pregnant, and had asked for schedule changes to accommodate her pregnancy. She has been charged with first degree murder of a victim under 12 by someone in position and first degree murder after deliberation, and tampering of evidence. She will be arraigned in May.
