BROOKLYN- Rapper Pop Smoke had cancelled a show days before he was murdered.
The 20-year-old rapper was set to perform at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, on Feb. 16, but tweeted that the NYPD made him cancel his performance, but there’s a little twist to the story.
According to TMZ, who spoke to sources close to the NYPD , Pop Smoke was the one who actually cancelled his performance due to him allegedly fearing for his safety and/or having beef with rival gangs.
The “Welcome To The Party” rapper was murdered in California last Wednesday while having a party at a Hollywood Hills home. His murder appeared to be a home invasion robbery, but it’s clear that he was targeted..
