Promoters sue rapper Rick Ross for not performing at show

ST. LOUIS- Rapper Rick Ross is being sued by two promoters for not performing at a show he was paid for.

Promoters Antoine Meeks, and Watson filed a lawsuit against the rapper this month in St. Louis Circuit Court, reports KSDK.

The claims that Meeks and Watson had a contract with Ross and Rick Ross Touring LLC, who represent him for shows. They claim the rapper was going to be paid $60,000, but was paid $30,000 on Oct. 21, 2019, before he was set to perform at the Pageant on Jan. 11, 2020.

Watson and Meeks would pay Rick Ross the rest due upon his arrival.

Rick Ross, whos real name is William Leonard Roberts II, failed to appear, the claims.

The also claims that the plaintiffs spent $25,000 for “production costs”, $6,000 for the venue, $3,300 on Ross’ travel and accommodations  and $4,100 on marketing and promotions.

The plaintiffs claims they have over $74,000 in damages.
