Rapper A$AP Rocky released from a Sweden jail pending outcome of case

Rapper A$AP Rocky has been allowed to come back to America, along with his two friends, until his next trial date on August 14.

A$AP, whose real name is Rakim Mayers has been in Swedish custody with his two co-defendants since July 3rd, after he was arrested for an alleged assault on a male.

The rapper took to social media before he was arrested and posted several videos that showed the alleged victim following him and his crew after they repeatedly told him to leave them alone.

A$AP Rocky was then seen on video allegedly throwing the alleged victim to the ground.

A$AP could face up to 6 months in prison if found guilty of assault.

Trump, who reached out to Swedish officials to free the rapper, tweeted “A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden. It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!”
