Singer Taylor Swift who took home 4 AMA’s last night, and stole the show as she broke the AMA record by becoming the first female to hold the most awards, which equals 23 wins.

There was also some controversy when rapper XxxTenTacion who was killed several months ago won for The Best Soul/Rnb. The late rapper’s mother was there to accept the award on behalf of her son. Many, including myself are confused as to how a rapper who recently began rising to fame before he was killed and was not an Rnb artist was given this award. XxxTentacion also had an estranged relationship with his mother.

In other news of the night, some called Cardi B’s performance of “I like it” “boring” on social media and saying at one point it looked as if she didn’t know what she was doing. It’s my opinion that that her stage presence is not that strong and she could step it up.

Cardi B who attempted to attack Nicki Minaj at the NYFW, that got her thrown out with a huge knot on her forehead, somehow crossed paths with her rival Nicki Minaj without there being a physical altercation. Many wondered if the two rappers were going have another showdown but the night went smooth.

And we also got a special performance by J.Lo, who performed her song “Limitless” from her new movie which debuts in theaters this December.
