Teen found guilty of killing two younger siblings 2 months apart

INDIANA- A teenage boy has been convicted of killing his two younger siblings.

Nickalas Kedrowitz was found guilty by a jury on two murder counts earlier this week, the Ripley County Prosecutor’s Office told Fox News.

Kedrowitz was 13-years-old when he allegedly killed his 1-year-old half-sister Desiree McCartney, and his 11-month-old stepbrother, Nathaniel Ritz.

Both children lived at the same residence and were allegedly killed almost two months apart.

McCartney died on May, 6, 2017, after she was found unresponsive. Ritz was also found unresponsive on July, 21, 2017.

The coroner’s office determined that both children had been smothered to death.

According to FOX News, Kedrowitz was looked at as a suspect after his mother told them that he had mutilated a kitten. His family says he had a short temper and his siblings feared him.

Kedrowitz, who was tried as an adult, is facing up to 65 years in prison on each count. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 10.
