Vanessa Bryant sues LAPD over leaked photos of Kobe’s crash site
LOS ANGELES- Vanessa Bryant is suing the LAPD Sheriff’s Department, and Sheriff Alex Villanueva over leaked photos from the site of the Jan. helicopter crash that killed her husband Kobe, daughter Gianna and 6 other victims.
Deputies allegedly took personal cellphone photos of all the victims, and were then told by Sheriff Villanueva to delete them.
Bryant is seeking punitive damages, and unspecified damages. Her attorney, Gary Robb, says that she personally went to the Sheriff’s office the day of the horrific crash, and requested that the site of the accident be protected from photographers.
