Witness In Tory Lanez Trial Claims He Saw Female Fire First Shot, Tory Will Not Testify

LOS ANGELES- A witness for singer Tory Lanez’ defense testified during trial that he witnessed a woman firing a shot before seeing the singer allegedly open fire.

On December 20, Sean Kelly took the stand and testified that he witnessed a fight between Megan and her friend from his window after he was awoken from his sleep. He told the court on the seventh day of trial that he saw a “flash” come from one of the women before a “smaller man” got out of the car.

Kelly went on to say, “the smallest guy got out of the car,” and that he saw more flashes, according to Law & Crime senior reporter Meghann Cuniff.

Kelly said the flashes started with Megan and her friend. He testified that he never heard anyone say, “Dance Bitch!”, which is what Megan testified Tory said before he allegedly shot her, Cuniff reported.

Kelly said that “the shorter guy was “very angry” and was “shouting.”

He said he saw flashes coming from the short man coming out of the vehicle, but he never witnessed him with a gun, adding he had witnessed him join in on “beating one girl,’ according to Cuniff.
He said it appeared as if the male and female were “trying to kill her”, as he was on the phone with 911. Kelly said he then saw the driver say the police were coming and “they put the woman in the car” and left.
Kelly was also questioned by the prosecution who asked him about his 911 call when he said that he had seen a “group beating on a woman.”
He then said that Tory allegedly fired four or five shots.
Tory will not have to testify for this trial.
If convicted, he faces up to 28 years in prison if convicted.
