A$AP Rocky Will Stand Trial Over Gun Charges, Faces 9 Years In Prison
LOS ANGELES – Rapper A$AP Rocky must stand trial over charges he allegedly shot his former friend in California.
A judge made the decision Monday during a preliminary hearing, which the A$AP Mob rapper attended,
A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Myers, is accused by prosecutors of allegedly shooting his former friend, and A$AP Mob member, A$AP Reli. He was arrested in April 2022 after landing at Los Angeles Airport.
A$AP Reli, born name Terell Ephron, claims Rocky, 35, lured him to a location in L.A., where they got into an argument, before A$AP Rocky allegedly him shot him.
Rocky was charged with two felony accounts of assault with a firearm.
He has pleaded not guilty.
If found guilty, A$AP Rocky could face up to 9 years in prison.
