UFC fighter’s step-daughter fought for her life; court documents

ALABAMA- UFC Heavyweight fighter Walt Harris’ step-daughter Aniah Blanchard fought back by reaching for her alleged killers gun.

According to a criminal complaint filed on Wednesday, someone told authorities that Ibraheem Yazeed was at a home with Blanchard’s car after she went missing.

While he was at the home, the witness told authorities that Yazeed had admitted to shooting a girl and that he stated she “went for the gun.”

19-year-old Blanchard was reported missing in October. Her vehicle was found abandoned at an apartment complex in Montgomery with her blood all over the inside.

Her body was found on Nov. 25th.

Police received a tip that Yazeed had fled the state. He was arrested and charged with kidnapping, but that charge rose to capital murder this week and he’s facing the death penalty.

His friend has also been arrested in connection to Blanchard’s murder.

Yazeed is denying killing Blanchard..
