2 NYPD Officers Charged After Raping Drunk Woman At NYC Restaurant

NYC – Two NYPD officers have been arrested and charged for sexually assaulting a drunk a woman, officials said.

Officers Julio Alcantara-Santiago, 40, and Christian Garcia, 32, were drinking at Cuban restaurant Zona De Cuba in the Grand Concourse section of the Bronx on July 9, 2023, when they allegedly saw a woman who was so drunk that she was unable to stand on her own, according to a criminal complaint.

Video shows the officers holding the woman up by her arms as she repeatedly fell into the men.

The officers then drove her to their friend’s house and carried the victim inside the apartment building as her eyes were shut and mouth was open, video shows.

When the victim became conscious, she woke up in a bedroom with Alcantara-Santiago and Garcia sexually assaulting her.

Alcantara-Santiago was allegedly encouraging Garcia to rape her as she lay motionless.

Both men raped her, according to the complaint.

The officers left when they saw the victim awoke, and she went to a hospital and underwent a rape kit.

A cheek swab from both officers matched DNA found on the victim’s body.

Both disgraced officers were charged with criminal sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, sex abuse and forcible touching.

After an arraignment in court Tuesday, Alcantara-Santiago was held on cash $50,000 bail or $75,000 bond. Garcia was held on $30,000 cash bail or $70,000 bond.
