Da Baby arrested for Battery; music promoter attacked

MIAMI- 28-year-old rapper DA Baby, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, was arrested on Thursday by Miami Police around 12:00 p.m. in connection with the battery of a music producer.

Da Baby was charged with one count of battery for allegedly punching a male, who was with a promoter that may have came up short with money.

Police say that Da Baby was supposed to meet up with a music promoter to receive a payment of 30k for a performance, but the promoter allegedly came up with $20,000 instead and things got heated.

Da Baby allegedly punched a male who was with the promoter in his face. Police say after he did that, his crew began “attacking” the music promoter, and the other male victim.

The music promoter was allegedly robbed of an iPhone, $80 in cash and a credit card. He also allegedly had Apple juice poured on him..
