Rapper Da Baby arrested in his hometown after concert (Video)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Rapper Da Baby was arrested on Monday night by police, right after performing.

The Charlotte rapper, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk was arrested after performing on the Bojangles Coliseum’s stage. He was charged with possession of Marijuana.

According to Channel 9, Da Baby was released not too long after he arrest.

There’s another issue too. According to the Da Baby, he says that police charged searched his car with no permission while he was performing. He was charged with resisting arrest, and they even gave him a citation for it, (which he shows to reporters on video) but according to police, they didn’t charge him.

The rapper told Charlotte’s Channel 9 “Every time. There’s nobody when I pull up in the parking lot, the second I get out the car, 15 cops come around,” he said.”
