Rapper Da Baby sued for assaulting property owner; lawsuit

LOS ANGELES- Rapper Da Baby is being sued for allegedly assaulting a rental property owner, according to documents that were filed on Monday, The New York Daily News reports.

The owner of a California home, Gary Pagar, is accusing the Grammy-nominated rapper of throwing a party with about 40 people for a video shoot. Pagar states Da Baby violated their lease agreement, according to Variety.

Pagar states that Da Baby signed a lease agreement which prohibited parties of no more 12 people due to COVID-9 restrictions.

When Pagar went to the property, he says he was met by an unknown man who knocked him to the ground, according to docs obtained by Variety.

Pagar then alleges that Da Baby, whose real name is Johnathan Kirk, got out of his car and chased him inside of the house.

Once inside, Pagar claims that Da Baby then told him not to call the cops and sucker-punched him in the mouth.

The complaint states that the 29-year-old rapper left the home with his guests, and Pagar was left with a missing tooth and covered in blood.
