Missing Woman Found Dead In Garbage Truck, Ex-Lover Charged With Murder

VIRGINIA – A missing mother was found dead inside of a garbage truck and police have charged her ex-boyfriend.

On March 21, officers responded to a home to investigate a missing person report, according to a news release from the Prince William County Police Department.

Taty’ana Zakiyyah Cooks, 30, was reported missing by her family after she didn’t pick up her child from daycare, police said. Authorities learned that her former acquaintance, 28-year-old Brendon Devon White, was driving her car, The Charlotte Observer reports.

The following day, police returned to the area, continuing to investigate and found Cooks’ body inside of a garbage truck.

Brendon Devon White, 28, was arrested on Saturday and charged with murder.

Police said they have evidence that White was involved in Cooks’ murder.

There is no cause of death for Cooks at this time.
