(Update) Rapper Chris King Shot And Killed In Nashville

(UPDATE) NASHVILLE, Tenn – Rapper King Chris was fatally shot in Nashville over the weekend.

The rapper, whose real name is Christopher Cheeks, was performing at the Nashville Cannafest on Friday, April 19, as Blackroommedia reported before.

King was shot and killed in an alleyway in Nashville around 2 :30 a.m. as he was hanging out with some friends on Saturday, April 20, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

His 29-year-old friend was also shot, but he is expected to survive.

King was the CEO and founder of Snotty Nose Records.

He was close friends with rapper Trippie Redd, singer Justin Bieber and the late Juice WRLD.
