Texas daycare worker who was seen on video pulling a child by the hair has been fired

(Texas) – The Texas daycare worker who was seen on a video that went viral, pulling a 3 year-old-girl by her hair has reportedly fired from her job.

The video that went viral on Thursday, was originally recorded several weeks ago at the “My Little Playhouse Learning Center.” It has sparked outrage, showing one daycare, who’s laughing, while filming another worker, who is lifting a sleepy little girl up by her braids, telling her ‘eat you food.”

The little girl who appears to be very sleepy begins to nod off again and the worker for the second time, pulls her head up by her hair.

The family is of course demanding answers. LaQuitta Wilson, the child’s mother, says she found out about the video, just as the rest of the internet did. Wilson also says that the Daycare never called to apologize to her or explain what took place, and what will happen to those workers in the video.

According to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services website, the daycare center has had 19 violations since 2016, which range from deficiencies in areas free from hazards to reaching their documented annual training.

People have made this into a race issue, because the little girl is African-American but that’s not the problem, the issue is that NO daycare worker should be treating a child like this.
